The Leopard
from my published anthology, Ornamental Expressions: The Yellow Butterfly, published by Pegasus.
Though a normal cat
Would be just as good
How I wish that
It could be you
The look on your eyes
Gets men hypnotised
Yet under the skies
You go disguised
You appear best
When you are angry
With a habit of revenge
Why wont you be?
And your sense of style
Is so beautiful
That though your in the wild
I wish to be with you
But with a broken heart
Longingly I stare
My hopeless want
To be a close friend
